The main difference is the dry matter production. That is higher with Saladebuffetten than with BG mixtures WITH the use of artificial fertilizer. While Saladebuffetten perform best WITHOUT artificial fertilizer.

The Saladebuffetten are suitable for mowing, grazing and alternating use.

For which animal species is a Saladebuffet suitable?

Saladebuffetten are suitable for goats, sheep, cattle, horses, pigs, and chickens.

What types of Saladebuffet are there?

Can Saladebuffet be used for reseeding and/or overseeding?

All types are suitable for use in reseeding except Saladebuffet Overseeding. Saladebuffet Overseeding and Herbal-Rich are also recommended for overseeding. Saladebuffet Overseeding on plots where the existing grass stock meets expectations, Saladebuffet Herbal-Rich on plots where the grass stock also needs improvement.

How long does a Saladebuffet last?

A Saladebuffet lasts on average between 3 to 4 years before it needs to be overseeded.

Does the composition remain the same?

Over time, it adapts to the circumstances. The composition will become less broad over the years and this can be maintained by annually overseeding with 4kg to 10kg Saladebuffet Overseeding from the 3rd year.

What is the Darwin effect?

When different plant species grow together, like the Pure Graze Saladebuffet, the yield is higher than the average of the different plant species in monoculture. This is called the Darwin effect and is caused by the stimulating effect that the different species have on each other.
