You know the story of the grass at the neighbors. That it is greener? Not true of course. Yet at Vandinter Semo we went to talk to the neighbors. In Ireland to be precise. At the leading Germinal. They have gained a strong international reputation as a trendsetter in High Sugar Grass.
Together with the scientists of Aberystwyth University, they have developed a new series of Aber grass varieties that cause a stir in yield and high digestibility. We are therefore delighted to be able to present a grass mixture as a European partner of Germinal, which is composed of 75% AberGain and 25% AberChoice (AberGain is the best scoring grass variety on the variety list; CSAR 2018)

High Sugar Grass is extra tasty due to a higher concentration of natural sugars. This ensures better digestibility and a greatly improved utilization of proteins for milk production. The effect is that less residual nitrogen is emitted via urine and manure.

We have a very high livestock density on very dry sandy soil. That's why we have to irrigate. At 30°C, grass no longer grows despite irrigation, but Saladebuffet (Salad Buffet) just keeps going.
PG NxT STEP is such a great farming system because you work WITH nature and WITH the cows. It's a pity I didn't start with it ten years earlier.
Previously I looked at the milk price, but with Pure Graze I focus on the costs of my business. So that I can steer what I myself have influence on.

I am careful about where my clay soil can't handle, machines and tractors.
Our clay on peat soil is very sensitive and quickly becomes compacted. If it was even a little too wet, we would flood, and if it was even a little too dry, our grass would dry out. Since we started using Saladebuffet (Salad Buffet) and PG NxT-STEP Farming, we saw major improvements after 3 months.
Last year I sowed Saladebuffet (Salad Buffet) and made hay from it. My wife is a veterinarian and horse owner, she has never had such beautiful hay before and the animals love it!
